1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using WhatsTheMoat ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
WhatsTheMoat provides AI-generated fundamental analysis reports on publicly traded stocks. Reports are generated using publicly available financial data processed through our proprietary analytical framework.
3. Not Investment Advice
The Service provides analysis for informational and educational purposes only. WhatsTheMoat does not provide investment advice, buy/sell/hold recommendations, target prices, position sizing guidance, or portfolio allocation advice. Framework scores are analytical assessments, not recommendations. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions.
4. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. One account per person.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
Free accounts are limited to 3 reports per month. Paid subscriptions (Pro, Premium) are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refund requests within 7 days of purchase are honored in full.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) scrape, crawl, or bulk download reports for redistribution; (b) reverse-engineer the analytical framework; (c) impersonate the platform or present AI-generated analysis as your own professional advice; (d) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (e) attempt to circumvent rate limits or subscription restrictions.
7. Intellectual Property
The 9-phase analytical framework, platform design, and generated report format are the intellectual property of WhatsTheMoat. Reports generated for your account may be shared via the platform's sharing features. You may not redistribute reports in bulk or create derivative products from them.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any analysis. AI-generated content may contain errors. Financial data is sourced from third-party providers and may be delayed or inaccurate.
9. Limitation of Liability
WhatsTheMoat shall not be liable for any investment losses, financial damages, or other harm arising from your use of the Service or reliance on AI-generated analysis. Your use of the Service and any investment decisions are at your own risk.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
